BB creams (Blemish Balms) are huge and everyone wants a piece of the action, with new versions being launched all the time. BB creams help to create the impression of perfect looking skin and can be worn either under foundation or even on their own.
I think that the success is partly down to the buzz that surrounded the product before it was launched; interest in this was, and still is huge! So when I got a chance to try this out, I jumped at the chance.
Unfortunately the samples were only being given out in the light shade, but I still thought that I would give it ago, and see how the product felt on my skin and see what all the fuss was about.
The product glides onto the skin and blends into skin, but the light colour is just a bit too light for my skin, it’s a shame, as it was a near match, but not quite the right shade. When I took a picture, it looked really bad!!! I don’t know if it was the flash, or if it just showed up how unsuitable it was for my skin tone, as I looked ghastly and grey!!
It’s funny, my face looks smooth and flawless, but the colouring in the face is soooo wrong!!! I think that this product is good and it does give good coverage and give the impression of perfect looking skin, but you need to get the right shade!
However as it is sheer, as I have dark circles (really bad at the moment for some reason ) I would still need to conceal these.
I am still undecided about this; I think that I would have to try this in the medium shade to see what its like, when the correct shade is used. It does give the skin a nice healthy look, but I don’t like the shiny ‘dewy look’ and use powder to matte the skin, but that’s just personal preference. Overall, I have to say that I am not sure…
