Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream

Until now the only BB cream that has wowed me has been the Olay Touch of Foundation.  The L’Oreal Nude Magique BB Cream gave good coverage but the finish was too powdery and even in the medium made my skin look too white.

When I won a full size sample of Dream Finish BB Cream by Maybelline on Facebook I was quite excited.  I opted for the ‘Dark’ shade because I wasn’t sure about the medium.  Initially when I swatched it on the back of my hand, I thought that I had made a mistake as it looked a bit too dark

But when I put it on my face, it just disappeared and left my face with a lovely sun kissed look.  The cream is an 8 in 1.  It claims to create a natural glow, compliment skin tone, has a SPF of 30,  hydrates all day, blurs imperfections, is oil free, makes skin look visibly smooth and finally give you the look of fresh skin.

This is a really good product; they have an excellent choice of shades which is something that the other BB creams don’t offer.  I think for a BB cream, even though the coverage is light, it is still important to find the right shade and not everyone falls in the light and medium shade, so well done for addressing this, with the choice of shades!

The BB cream is very light and the coverage is much lighter than a foundation and about the same as a tinted moisteriser.  This BB cream is supposed to give you a “fresh faced glow without looking all made up”, I think that it definitely does that with its sheer coverage and the end result is, natural looking skin, that has just been helped a little to look a lot better!

I really liked the look and nice matte finish of Maybelline Dream Finish BB Cream. The cream also set without having to use powder and was not shiny either, I didn’t have to use much, and a little went a long way.

It made my skin look really healthy and out of the 8 in 1 benefits I can say it did all of them very well.  BUT, I don’t know how much it blurred imperfections (as I still had to use a bit on concealer under my eyes, as this alone would not hide the dark circles).

BUT, I did really like this BB Cream, and think that it did a brilliant job, in making my face look fresh natural and leaving it with a lovely glow! I also think that having an SPF of 30 in it is brilliant as it will help to protect skin against ageing.

  1. I love L’Oreal Nude Magique BB Cream! I am a person who hates anything on my skin & find all foundations & tinted moisturisers too heavy & my skin feels oily after a while. So I didn't expect too much of this when I got my free sample. Well I tried it & loved it so much I rushed to Superdrug to buy 3 tubes as it was on special offer & now wear it nearly every day!
