MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation

I was so excited when I was given this, as I LOVE MAC products!!! I went to be colour matched a while back and the lady on the counter did my make up and she used Studio Tech Foundation (NC40), Studio Finish Concealer NW35 and Mineralize Powder in Medium/Dark to set the foundation.

I looked fantastic!!! The make up was so good and applied so perfectly! Unfortunately we do not have a MAC counter near to where I live, so I don't tend to use MAC products, but my sister is a big fan and this is all she uses!!!

Studio Sculpt Foundation is described as "a creamy, luxurious, gel-based foundation that provides medium buildable to high coverage with a natural satin finish. Hydrating, instantly revitalizes the skin while keeping it looking smooth, soft and plush. Long-wearing, water-resistant."

This is a very moisterising foundation that is suited to dry or mature skin, but can be used by all skin types.  I have normal to greasy skin and I was worried that this might cause my skin to break out, it does sometimes give my sister spots when she uses it.

The shade that I have is NC42 (this is not the right shade for me, but as I currently have a tan, it works OK for me)

This has been on my 'to review' list for a while now!!! and today was the day that I finally got around to putting the review in!

I am happy to not wear too much make up these days, BUT there are days like today, when you need all the help that you can get....!! Today BB cream was not going to cut it!!

My Before Pic

As you can see in my before pic, skin is covered in blemishes (reaction to a cream)

Needed to wear a heavier foundation today, to disguise my skin!!

I love this foundation!!!! I really love it!!!! It gives excellent flawless coverage.  I needed heavy, full coverage today and this was perfect, as you can see from my before pics, skin is looking pretty bad, and after, you wouldnt even know!!!

The formulation initalliy feels a bit thick, but they key is to blend, blend and blend some more!! and at times it feels like it just sits on the skin rather than 'sink in' but after a bit of blending, it's gone! It really covers well and leaves a natural finish!

Excellent product, if you want heavier coverage, but still look natural.  It is very important to chose the EXACT shade and if you do this, then no one will know that you have a thicker foundation on, if you get it wrong, then I think that due to the formulation, it could end up looking cakey or mask like.

Wear time is also very good and also this is an excellent foundation to wear if you are taking pics as this photographs very well.  I would definately recommend this foundation for someone looking for heavy coverage but wanting a natural finish.

If money is tight, I previously reviewed Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection and I would say that in terms of coverage and finish, these are very similar, so if your on a budget try Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection as this is an amazing foundation.

Mac Studio Sculpt foundation is available in over 21 shades and cost £24
